I found out that Garmin LiveTrack and PacePro don’t go well together. It seems to cause PacePro to loose its ahead/behind information, which is annoying during a race.

This is about the mode in which you have LiveTrack automatically started from your watch (Garmin Fenix). Activating LiveTrack via your phone after you’ve started seems to work better.
